CLASSES
Relaxing and Energising
EASY LIKE MONDAY MORNING
Yin and Yang Gentle Fusion Flow £8 / 60 mins
These classes are held at the Larruperz Centre every Monday at 9.15-10.15am. This class is all about gentle fusion yoga combining yin and yang yoga to ease you into the week every Monday morning. The perfect start to every week. Expect to mobilise and relax in equal measure. Suitable for everyone, and if you find that normal vinyasa or standing yoga or other fitness activities are hard on your wrists or feet, this may be preferable. All you need is a mat. Do bring along any blankets for shavasana and any yoga props (blocks, bolsters) that you might have though. Like all vinyasa classes, it will be offered online on Zoom too.
GROUP VINYASA CLASSES
£6-7 / 60 minutes
Classes are held in the Larruperz Centre (Monday evening and Tuesday morning) and in Tudorville Community Centre (Friday morning). They are all pay as you go, no block bookings necessary. Suitable for all levels from beginner to intermediate. Vinyasa Yoga is flowing, challenging at times, yet still calming. It is a movement meditation, designed to build strength, flexibility, fitness, balance, and mental peace. Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is widely practised all over the world and with good reason. Yoga is a form of holistic health, aimed at curing the whole for preventative overall health. It will leave you feeling energised, balanced, and relaxed, and is wonderful for helping address many conditions. Whatever else you do, from academic study to any sporting activities, will benefit too. All you need is a mat and book online through the website.
GROUP YIN CLASSES
£8 / 90 minutes
Yin Yoga classes are both held in Weston-under-Penyard. They are all pay as you go, no block bookings necessary. Suitable for all levels from beginner to intermediate.
This type of yoga is all about long held, static stretches. It is the polar opposite to Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga; think Yin and Yang; everything in balance. It is deeply relaxing and meditative, uses props, and will improve mobility and flexibility in leaps and bounds. As we age, Yin becomes increasingly important to keep our joints, bones, and connective tissues healthy and young. The stronger your muscles get, the more you need to balance this with flexibility for optimum health and performance. Don't miss out on being your best by underestimating the importance of mobility! Yin builds flexibility like nothing else, will help you sleep, and through targeting our joints we can keep doing and enjoying our hobbies for longer in life and slow down the inevitable process of ageing that none of us can avoid. This class ends with a small pranayama practice. All you need is a mat, and you do not even really need this for yin! But if you have a blanket, yoga blocks, bolsters, or sandbags, bring them along. These classes are all 90 minutes. You can book online through the website.
PRIVATE CLASS
£50 / 60 minutes
A Private Session allows you to dive deeper into yoga practice with a greater focus on individual alignment and practice tailored to the student's requirements.
This is a popular option for those who cannot attend a normal class due to personal conditions, age, or preference. It is also favoured by groups that want to practice together socially in their home environment, as well as students who want to explore things in great detail, whether that be alignment, philosophy, advanced postures and transitions, or pranayama and meditation.
ONLINE CLASS
£6/60 mins / £7/75 mins
All of my Ashtanga Vinyasa classes are currently streamed live through Zoom because it was such a popular option during lockdown, and continues to be so. So wherever you are, you can still get your yoga on!
WORKSHOPS
£30-£40 / 3-4 hours
Keep your eye out for weekend workshops, typically 3-4 hours on a Sunday morning. They give students the opportunity to practice and learn about Ashtanga and Yin Yoga in more detail through the longer time frame.
The full led Ashtanga Primary Series is offered as a weekend workshop from time to time, as well as longer Yin workshops, and yin and yang fusions are coming soon. Each is different, but they generally include more philosophy or information, pranayama, alignment and transition breakdowns, and always yogi tea and cake!
